Accommodation overview

This large country house is situated in 7 acres of peaceful grounds on the Kintyre Peninsula, Argyll. This impressive baronial country house with it’s wealth of period features is the ideal location for a Scottish wedding or civil ceremony, a family get-together or a surprise party or corporate team building/training events.

The spacious accommodation offers plenty of room for relaxation. You can take it easy in the TV room/snug or drawing room whilst your children play in the  billiard room and playroom. For the ultimate in relaxing at home spend some time in the private sauna or hot tub. When it comes to meal times, there is a large kitchen with AGA, a breakfast room and also the wonderful dining hall.

You shouldn’t have to queue for a shower as the house has a total of nine showers and ten toilets.

Bedrooms

12 bedrooms which can be set up to suit your needs:

2 x twin bedrooms

3 x king-size double bedrooms

1 x quadruple bunk room

7 x bedrooms which can be set up as super-king size double bedrooms or as as twin bedrooms, or even sometimes as triple bedrooms.

All bedrooms except two have either an en suite bathroom or a basin.

Garden and outside space

The house is in an idyllic location amongst 20 acres of woodland with views to the mountain and a river running near Argyll House. You can stroll along the garden’s waterfall walk and your children will love the outdoor pool.

Thousands of acres of Forestry Commission land adjoin our woods which you can also explore.

Swimming pool and tennis court

An indoor heated swimming pool and tennis court is shared between the three houses on the estate. Each holiday cottage is assigned a time for exclusive private use and at other times all guests can use the facilities.

 

Groups of properties

There are two other large holiday properties nearby which makes it ideal for large celebrations and parties.

The Mill sleeps 20 and the Old Barn sleeps 16.

All can be hired together for groups of up to 60.

If you only wish to rent one property, each property is entirely independent of each other so you will still have your privacy.
